INTERACTIVE TOOLS FOR KOREA TRAVEL
Korea Compass Interactive Maps
Find public toilets, pharmacies, currency exchange offices, luggage storage facilities, and useful places in Seoul.
Before using the maps
Map pins help with travel planning, but operating hours, services, availability, and access conditions can change. Confirm important details directly with the facility before visiting.
1. Public Toilets Map
Find nearby public toilets while sightseeing in Korea. This map can be useful around transportation hubs, public buildings, parks, shopping areas, and major tourist destinations.
- Use your current location to check nearby facilities.
- Check the building or facility name before walking there.
- Access may depend on the operating hours of the building.
2. Pharmacy Map
Search for nearby pharmacies when you need over-the-counter medicine or professional advice from a pharmacist. A Korean pharmacy is usually marked with the Korean word “약국.”
- Opening hours vary by pharmacy and day of the week.
- Late-night and holiday availability may be limited.
- Bring a translated note showing your symptoms and allergies.
- For a serious emergency, call 119 instead of relying on a pharmacy.
3. Currency Exchange Map
Locate currency exchange offices and compare convenient options near airports, major stations, shopping districts, and tourist areas.
- Confirm that the office exchanges your currency.
- Compare the displayed exchange rate and commission.
- Bring your passport because identification may be required.
- Do not exchange money through unverified street sellers.
4. Luggage Storage Map
Find lockers, staffed storage counters, and other luggage storage options before hotel check-in, after check-out, or during a day trip.
- Check the maximum luggage size before paying.
- Confirm the closing time of staffed facilities.
- Save your locker number, receipt, password, or QR code.
- Keep passports, money, medicine, and valuables with you.
5. Seoul Travel Essentials Map
Explore popular Seoul districts, food streets, shopping areas, transportation points, and useful visitor information on one interactive map.
- Check the nearest subway station and recommended exit.
- Group nearby places into one walking route.
- Estimate travel time before adding another district.
- Open the map again during your trip for easier navigation.
6. How to Use the Maps
- Choose the map that matches what you need.
- Allow location access only if you want to see places near your current position.
- Select a map marker and review the facility name and available details.
- Confirm the route in your preferred Korean navigation app when necessary.
- Verify important details such as operating hours, fees, eligibility, and holiday closures.
Travel tip: Google Maps may provide limited walking or driving navigation in South Korea. Naver Map and KakaoMap can provide more detailed local route information.
